This privacy policy explains how Ashman Group Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses personal data when you visit https://ashmangroup.co.uk, request a quote, book a site visit or otherwise interact with us. We are the data controller for the personal data we process. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
- Lead information you provide via our forms: name, phone number, email, postcode, address, the service you're enquiring about, photos of the job and any notes.
- Technical data automatically collected: IP address (in transit), browser/device type, pages visited, referrer.

Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, quote your job and deliver the work (contract / pre-contract).
- To send service updates, scheduling and follow-up communications (legitimate interest).
- To improve our website and measure marketing performance (consent, where required).
- To comply with legal, accounting and warranty record-keeping obligations.
Who sees it
Your details are only shared with: our internal team and trusted sub-processors who help us run the business — our hosting provider (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), our email provider, our payment processor (where applicable) and, on larger projects, the architectural / structural-engineering partner we coordinate with on your job. We never sell your data or share it for unrelated marketing.
How long we keep it
Lead records: up to 24 months from your last contact. Customer project records and invoices: 6 years from project completion (UK accounting and warranty requirements). Analytics data: per the retention settings of each tool.
Your rights
You can ask us to: see what personal data we hold about you; correct anything inaccurate; delete data we no longer need to keep; restrict or object to certain processing; or have your data sent to another provider. Email ashmangroup1@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use HTTPS across the whole site, store form submissions in an access-controlled database with role-based policies, and limit internal access on a need-to-know basis. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
